Dr. Susan Handy is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy and the Director of the National Center for Sustainable Transportation at the University of California, Davis. Her research interests center on the relationships between transportation and land use. In her current work she is advising California agencies on strategies for reducing car dependence.
